Djemo

My name is Djemo. I am a Swiss traveler. 2013, I went on a round trip in Asia, starting in Japan, heading down to Southeast Asia and then to Bhutan. During this trip, I developed a passion for traveling and learning about other cultures. In 2014, I went to Singapore to start my PhD in NTU, where I worked for 4 years on the development of an artificial blood vessel.

During my PhD, I went on various trips, discovering new places and revisiting my all-time favorites Bali and Kota Kinabalu. Während meines Doktorats ging ich auf viele Reisen, entdeckte neue Gegenden und besuchte Favoriten wie Bali und Kota Kinabalu mehrmals.

My interests are cultures and religions, discovering hidden gems, visiting serene places out in the nature and I also developed a passion for traditional villages.

I love traveling around Switzerland, Southeast Asia and Europe. Hopefully, I can extend my travels to the rest of the world later.

"In the beginning, I never wanted to produce travel videos..."

Having been filming all my life since my childhood days, I switched to photography in 2010 and never thought of swichting bach to filmography...

In June 2018, just before my thesis submission, I traveled to El Nido with my best friend Nato. Already in 2017 he told me about a great travel vlogger and advised me to do the same. That time I found the idea rather ridiculous and declined. During our trip in El Nido, he once again advised me to give it a try and I eventually got convinced to at least give it a chance. Thus,  I came up with the project DjemoGraphic and produced a Top 6 Brunei video, which I published on 25th of September in 2018. It was one of my best deciscions I have ever made...
